Diva In Training
I remember when Kennedy was in the NICU her doctors joked that she was a bit of a diva. They could tell this hours after emerging from the womb. The same doctors joked when we were discharged that we would have our hands full with this one.
Now, I’ve been aware for a couple of weeks that Kennedy is a bit dramatic in her response to things. Especially if she doesn’t particularly like whatever it is. I think it’s funny when she cries these HUGE FAT TEARS because A. they’re for show, B. she’s not really hurt. It all makes me giggle.
I went to get her at school today and I noticed that she was being held by (the awesome) director at our school. I was walking in with her teacher from last year and made a joke about her being held by someone else while also wondering why exactly she was being held. When she sees me she RUNS over and gives me a huge hug and then one of the teachers comes over with the incident report.
Kennedy and another kid had an altercation. A kind that involved teeth.
Now, I’m not upset. She was obviously fine. And she’s two, it’s part of being two. It had all been addressed and was over.
The funny part was them telling me about the HUGE drama and the BIG tears and the wailing and gnashing of teeth from Kennedy. I think they were a little concerned that she was REALLY hurt and not just offended by her incident. Then they pulled out the organic lolly. I was told those tears dried up faster than rain on the Sahara. That if anyone had inherited my flare for the dramatic it was Kennedy.
