A Hallo-Won’t!
I’m only a week late on this post. Maybe it’s taken me a week to recover. Who know’s.
So, on the Friday before Halloween I went and met my Mom (and Gram and Great-Aunt) and had lunch before I kidnapped my Mom and brought her back here for what is now our annual Halloween weekend. We went straight to Jason’s office where Kennedy wowed everyone with her polite manners and coy smile in her (home made) Minnie Mouse costume. This year she really understood what it meant to Trick-Or-Treat and stopped at any candy bucket she saw. Even if she’d taken candy from it already!

Kennedy REFUSED to wear the ears I worked long and hard on.
On Saturday Mom and I decorated (utilizing the prep that Heather and I had done on Wednesday, she’s such an awesome friend) while Jason ran numerous errands to get ready for that days Neighborhood Halloween Parade/Festival and 3rd Annual Flamingo After Party. There is an annual Halloween parade in our neighborhood where there are a tons more people walking in the parade than actually watching it. Except for the people who don’t have kids and forgot about it and get stuck in traffic due to the crazed costume folks. After the parade our church hosted the after parade festival. Kennedy was’t really interested in it. Instead she kept pointing to the car and asking to go home. Except when Lanta (our awesome children’s minister) brought out the bubble maker and gave K some candy. Then she partied.
I’m a the Leg Lamp from A Christmas Story, Jason is a farmer and Kennedy is still an earless Minnie.
After the Parade we went home, had a quick dinner and then waited for the Flamingos to show! As always, it was a fun party, if a tad colder this year.
