Chattanooga Choo-Choo
We took our first family vacation a little over a week ago. It’s taken me this long to recover from it (sorta).
As you know, Kennedy is slightly obsessed with trains. So when planning our vacation I decided it would be fun to go to the Chattanooga Choo-Choo and to stay in one of their train cars. We got to the hotel before our room was ready, when I’d made our plans I’d thought we’d go to the Children’s museum or the aquarium then. Kennedy had other plans once she saw all of the trains.

The train car/room was a pretty big hit!! It was the first time she slept in a “big girl” bed all by herself and did pretty great with it. I’m still not ready to take her out of her crib though. Now, in theory staying in a train car is awesome. Practically speaking it sorta sucked. There is only a thin wall separating you from the people you are sharing a car with. When those people don’t get home until after midnight with their 14+ children who all want to reenact the wrestling matches they’ve seen, it’s a little loud. Learn from our mistakes folks, let your kids see the trains, but stay in the hotel.
We enjoyed a visit to Ruby Falls, the Children’s museum and a Tennessee Lookouts game. I’d say over all, we all had a great time on our first family vacation!

Ruby Falls- Kennedy not such a fan. ”WATER HURT! LOUD!”
